A Featurebase alternative for teams that ship on GitHub
Featurebase is a broad suite: feedback, helpdesk, live chat and surveys, billed per seat. RondiLoop does one part of that and takes it further, from the request in your inbox through GitHub to the email that says it shipped. It’s in early access.
RondiLoop and Featurebase, side by side
| Topic | RondiLoop | Featurebase |
|---|---|---|
| What you pay for | One flat price per workspace, monthly or annual, with unlimited end users and feedback. Announced at launch. | Per seat, with unlimited end users. A free plan with one seat; Growth from $29 a seat a month billed annually, $37 monthly. Removing the branding is a $69 a month add-on on Professional and up. |
| Where the data is | Servers in the EU. Mail through Brevo (France), error reports on our own servers. AI through Anthropic (USA), with personal data masked first; it can be switched off per project. | The Netherlands and Germany, says its pricing page; its security page adds Ireland. Some subprocessors work outside the EEA, US AI providers among them, under standard contractual clauses. |
| GitHub | A GitHub App. A roadmap item becomes an issue; a pull request moves the card to In progress, the merge to Shipped. Webhooks plus a nightly re-sync. | From Growth: creates GitHub issues from feedback or links existing ones, and syncs the issue status back. Its GitHub page doesn’t mention pull requests. |
| Changelog | When you publish a GitHub release, AI drafts the release notes from its merged pull requests. You edit them and publish. | A public changelog on every plan, sent by email and shown in your app. The free plan sends 15 changelog emails a month. |
| Telling people it shipped | Publishing emails everyone who left an address with a request that shipped, quoting what they asked for. | Voters are emailed when a linked GitHub issue changes status. Other status update emails are sent from the admin. |
| Widget | One script tag, under 10 KB. No cookies, nothing loaded from third parties. | Embeddable widgets from Growth, installed through its SDK. Size and cookies aren’t documented; the changelog widget keeps its state in local storage. |
| Voting and comments | Not yet. Similar requests are merged into one roadmap item, which shows how many people asked. | Yes, both, unlimited on every plan. |
| Other integrations | None besides GitHub. No GitLab, Linear, Jira or Slack. | 25 of its own, Linear, Jira, ClickUp and Azure DevOps among them, plus Zapier. |
| Self-hosting | No. Hosted only; whether it goes open source isn’t decided. | Not offered, as far as its own pages show. |
What the table says about Featurebase is from Featurebase’s own pages on October 28, 2026, linked below. Prices and plans change, so check them before you decide. RondiLoop isn’t open yet; its price is announced at launch, one flat price per workspace.
Pick Featurebase if
- you want feedback, a helpdesk, live chat, a help center and surveys in one subscription,
- your users should vote and comment on public posts today,
- your team plans in Linear, Jira or ClickUp,
- you need SSO, SCIM or an audit log.
Pick RondiLoop if
- your team ships through GitHub and you want the pull request, the merge and the release to move the roadmap and start the release notes,
- you’d rather pay one price for the workspace than one per seat,
- the widget on your site should set no cookies and load nothing from other servers,
- you only need the feedback part, without a helpdesk around it.
Moving from Featurebase
RondiLoop can’t import from Featurebase yet. An importer for Featurebase is planned, like those for Canny, Fider and CSV, but it doesn’t exist today. Until it does, moving means starting the roadmap afresh and swapping the widget’s script tag.
Questions
Is RondiLoop cheaper than Featurebase?
RondiLoop’s price isn’t out yet. What is settled is the model: one flat price per workspace, so more users or more feedback don’t change it. Featurebase charges per seat, from $29 a seat a month on its Growth plan when billed annually.
Does Featurebase connect to GitHub?
Yes, from its Growth plan. It creates issues from feedback, links existing ones and syncs the issue’s status back. RondiLoop goes further down the same road: pull requests and merges move the roadmap card, and a GitHub release starts the changelog draft.
Where does Featurebase keep its data?
In the Netherlands and Germany according to its pricing page, and its security page also names Ireland. Its data processing agreement allows limited processing outside the EEA by subprocessors, under standard contractual clauses.
